Air conditioning and heating systems will occasionally experience issues that are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty. We have helped clients with a variety of issues, on units that we installed and on those we didn’t install. We handle each situation on a case-to-case basis, and we want to be upfront about the process so there are no surprises.
If we have not installed your unit, we are still happy to assist in any way we can in getting the materials replaced at no charge by the manufacturer. We will charge a service fee of $99.95 to come out and fully assess the situation, and will have a conversation with you before we start work to disclose the compensation for the labor and time to handle the warranty claim.
In situations where we have installed the HVAC system there may not be any charges for the client for the warranty work provided. That will depend on what has caused the issue and whether the client is still under our labor warranty period.
We include a one-year labor warranty with all of our air conditioner and heater installations, and there are plenty of situations where we have extended this warranty when appropriate. In some situations, though, a fully disclosed upfront warranty fee makes the most sense. Either way, you won’t be surprised by the outcome of your repair, because of our initial discussion.
