Electrical generators are a back-up electrical system. They provide power to selected electrical circuits during a utility power loss. The two main types of generators are standby and portable.
Standby generators are permanently installed and typically fueled by propane or natural gas. They come on automatically when power is lost, and will cycle and then shut off when the power is restored. They can power all or part of a house during a power outage.
We don’t work on portable generators. Instead, we specialize in installing, maintaining, and repairing permanent standby generators.
As certified dealers of Generac products, as well as products from other manufacturers, we can design a standby back-up power system to fit your needs in the event of a power loss. Our staff who service generators have been through manufacturer training and are very knowledgeable about the products they are working with. You can read more about our Generac products here.
Every generator application and installation is different. Your first step with us is a conversation to make sure we know your needs. If we are a good fit for you, we will work with you to create a back-up power system that fits those needs.
We believe very strongly in the importance of proper maintenance on your standby generator system, and would be happy to help you make a plan for regular maintenance as well.
Purchasing a generator is a significant decision. We have some financing options in place if there is a need—just ask us. We are also happy to work with the lending institution of your choice and have done so with plenty of customers in the past.
Repairs to poorly-installed generators usually runs between $2,000 and $3,000. Installing a generator typically requires a permit, and it doesn’t make for a good DIY project. We highly recommend using a professional company who is licensed, insured, and has references from happy customers they are willing to share with you.
